Rose Day: International Women's Day
What a great day it was! Several of us attended the celebration hosted by the Canadian Federation of University Women. Thanks to Kladia for spawning the idea of recognizing the entity, Canadian Federation of University Women, for the difference they have made in the status of women through promotion of education. We recognized them in the same way we normally recognize an outstanding woman in the community: with yellow roses presented by the latest winner of the local YWPA award: in this case Rosie Mazzola. Anita Mathur, as Area Director, presented a certificate of recognition. Both were received by Paddy McGowan, president of CFUW, Victoria.
